The launch of a crowdfunding campaign to determine whether Scotland’s first female archaeologist Christian Maclagan was correct in her assertion that the city of Stirling had its very own Iron- Age broch. Her potentially important discovery in 1870 was ignored at the time, the site she identified left unexcavated and eventually forgotten, all because she was female.
