The first ever DAY OF ARCHAEOLOGY was held on the 29th July, in 2011 and had over 400 contributing archaeologists from around the world – from those working in the field through to specialists working in laboratories and behind computers – and has been an annual event ever since.
This year, Day of Archaeology is looking for people working, studying or volunteering in the archaeological world to participate on Friday 24th July 2015. The resulting Day of Archaeology website will demonstrate the wide variety of work the profession undertakes day-to-day across the globe, and helps to raise public awareness of the relevance and importance of archaeology to the modern world.
The organisers are looking for contributors who are able to document their day for inclusion on the Day of Archaeology website. You can do this through any medium that you are comfortable with, be it writing about, filming, recording or photographing your day.
